today I

beach retreat

Today I look out the window and see the vast expanse of the ocean as the sun glistens down forming specs of glitter on the crashing waves.

I hear the sound of laughter and deep conversation happening on the front porch and the clinking in the kitchen from someone making themselves a cup of tea.

In a few moments, we will all be gathering in the living room to read poetry, write, share and connect.

But in this moment I pause

I have arrived. Right where I have been dreaming of being. Together with a community of individuals to spend a few days away.

To rest. To retreat. To play. Laugh. Dance. Create. Unravel. And connect.

This dream brewed inside my heart for so long, but today it is no longer a dream but memories being created. joy unfurling and love swirling.

Today I stand in gratitude. For not giving up. For following my heart. Anf for the radiant souls that trusted me and have arrived here.

Today I am blessed.

Podcast #12 - Self Compassion

012_self compassion_MN.png

Today on the podcast I talk about this past week's secret mission. It wasn't easy for me to find self-compassion, and recognize something I loved about myself. Listen in to see how I got through it.

Would love to hear from YOU!

After you listen share in the comments below how it felt for you to do the mirror work and/or about one single body part and why you are grateful for it.  Where has it taken you?  What have you experienced because of it?

i discovered

Blog Post Image.png

I discovered that there is joy in the small pieces
The scraps left on the floor
Become a nose for a teddy bear
A piece of foam can become a mattress for the box that is turning into a bed
Nothing is wasted
It was one once thing
And can then become another
With eyes open to wonder
We can breathe a second life into
A piece of ribbon
A paper clip
A dried-out marker
What joy to discover
That there is so much more than what meets the eye
When we lean in without expectations
Without plans
But only the openness to discover what could be

what's next on my list

What’s next on my list is what I want to do in February
Ides, thoughts, dreams
All of it bubbling to the surface
The list is long
It’s filled with lot’s of to do’s and so little self-care

As I look it over the overwhelm set’s in
I like to think I’m superhuman
But I also like to take naps on the couch, read books, go for walks
Scheduling so many to do’s per day
Leaves so little time for that

And so I’m clearing my list
Putting me on top
A pair of fuzzy slippers
A warm blanket
Cozying up by the fireplace
With no expectation of doing or accomplishing
Just breathing
Just being

What a gift
To drop it all
Pick up only what I need
And know that is enough
Yes. It is enough
