The last round of the Love Notes Postcard Project for 2016 began on Sunday.  I cannot believe that we are already in our last round for this year.  Where has the time gone?  

Words are a powerful tool.  They have the ability to heal or to hurt.  When we choose words of kindness, reach out to strangers to say hello, and open our hearts up to the unexpected magical things happen.  I am grateful to all the open hearts that arrive each time to share words with a stranger.

For this round we have individuals writing from:

I love that this project brings back the feel of pen and paper and encourages individuals to slow down and take a moment to write.  But I always wish that I could click my heels and we could all be gathered together.  Since that isn't possible I invite you to join me on the virtual dock and get to know some of the individuals who are participating.  There are artist's, chef's, pet photographers, writers, magical individuals, and so much more!  It is an incredible gathering of divinity.  Stop by their virtual porch and say hello.  I just know leaving them a comment on their website will make there day.  Go ahead, make their day!

There are moments in your life that happen.  Moments you could not have thought up or dreamed about because you had no idea such a thing could ever occur.  Yet somehow these moments present themselves.  You are given the opportunity to embrace them and let them flow with you, guiding you along.  

These moments are stepping stones in your life.  Taking you from one place to another.  However, describing them as stepping stones not seem adequate enough because these moments are life changing.  Opening up a whole new door of possibility.  Breathing life into your tired heart.  Holding you gently.  Nudging you along.  Encouraging you to keep your head held high.  

Sometimes these moments happen with individuals who come into your life for a brief moment in time.  They change the course of our life forever and are gone in the blink of an eye, leaving you feeling in awe at the power of connection between individuals.  There are many people in this world, many individuals we pass on a daily basis and spend time interacting with, but only a select few stirs our heart and wakes us up.  Only a handful have the ability to creep in and see below our outer protective barrier.  

Why is it that certain individuals connect and others do not?  What is it that pulls us deeply into each other?  What needs to be aligned so that connection happens?  It is interesting to be roaming the roads of life and meeting so many different individuals and then unexpectedly meeting one that changes you.  You are traveling down your own path and then through a brief encounter you are propelled in a direction you never dreamed of.  The power of this is incredible.  

Strangers can open you up.  They can stand before you and accept you exactly as you are in that very moment.  They do not know the past.  They do not know your struggles.  They just see you.  You hold your heart in your hand revealing your true self.  You stand there in all your being, radiating who you are.  You never know if you will walk away with something new.  A new opportunity, a new friend, a new chance to take.  

Yes, one single moment can change your life.  And you never know when that moment will happen.  You just have to be ready to be present, be you, and be open.  Because in one single moment your life could change forever.

But when we are together it doesn't feel so hard

My wish is that you are willing to trust
That you show up as you, exactly as you are
That you don't hide your scars
That you know you are deeply loved
I want to invite you in
I want to stand beside you
I want us to be together
Because you need to make your own happy
And together we can do impossible things

next steps

You are standing on the edge of the cliff and I know out of desperation you want to jump but please just take a moment.  Take a deep breathe in and look around.  Look how far you have come.  I know it is hard right now, really hard, but know that this isn't the end.  In fact it is the beginning of something brand new.  Something unknown.  Something you are in charge of creating.  This is your opportunity to find what makes you happy and create that happiness for yourself.  You no longer have to live where you do not want to be.  But don't jump to quickly.  Be thoughtful about your next steps.  Realize how one step leads to another and you want to create a strong block for you to stand on.  

I know you are hurt.  I can see it in your eyes.  I know the pain is deep.  But know that this pain is temporary.  There is a fresh new world waiting for you, ready to embrace you with love and light.  Fall deeply into this love.  Do not carry your hurt with you every where you travel.  Smile, laugh, remember how truly amazing you are.  Yes, you are incredible.  Do not ever let anyone else tell you other wise.  You get to decide what you are going to do next.  You decide who you are going to let in, and who are you going to let go of.  Follow your heart and trust your gut.  You know what you want. You know what you need.  Do not compromise on the things that matter most to you. Show up with your head held high and your shoulders back.  You have nothing to be ashamed of.  You gave it your all.  You learned valuable lessons along the way.  You are shifting into new possibilities.  Be right here.

There are gonna be times when you feel like you cannot stand on your own.  When you want to crumble because you think it is all crashing around you.  But then you remember that this is just a moment in time, many others you have had before.  You made it through those times and you know you will make it through this.  

Life isn't always easy, but it is always worth it.  Because when you give your heart you know you are risking the potential that it will break.  And you are ok with that because the risk is worth what might be.  You never know what can happen until you take the leap.  You know you must always take the leap. 

And look how many times you leapt.  Of course there are times when it didn't work out, but when it did it was good, so very good.  You know you have to live bravely.  You know you have to try.  You know you are not meant to live small.  You know even when you are scared you must stand in the face of that fear and push yourself forward.  You have an incredible amount of courage.  You love with your heart wide open and you invite others in.  This is divine.  

You have this ability to find the beauty, even in the darkest moments.  You do not let others bring you down.  You choose to let your light shine brightly.  You know that the world can be a scary place and what matters most is kindness and love.  You show up.  Even when you aren't sure what to do you are present.  You feel the moment.  You understand the energy.  You allow space to breathe and simply just be.  

Never underestimate the power that comes with you being YOU.  Stand tall in who you are.  Don't let anyone ever tell you that you aren't good enough.  Reach our head up towards the light.  Hold on to the positive outlook that beams from your heart.  Always seek out the beauty and never give up.  This is your one wild and precious life.  Live it the way you want it to be.
